Download memtest86+ and burn a CD and boot from it, let it run for at least 12 hours and see if it finds any memory problems.

The OP's CentOS-6 post (that thread now locked due to overlap with this one) supports Trevor's theory of hardware problems. The LiveCD/DVD have memtest96+ as a boot option, and may be useful for testing as well.

How long did you run memtest86+?

Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature. Readme First explains the broken forum attachment function and what to do about it.

As the messages are about ACPI then try booting with acpi=off or noacpi on the GRUB kernel line. It would also be good to check for BIOS updates as such issues are often due to a buggy BIOS.
