Upgrading Centos Kernel to version 5.7

I have an old version on IBM machine x86_64 architecture. I have downloaded all the .rpm files fo the version i want to install from this website.
http://centos.arcticnetwork.ca/5.7/os/x86_64/CentOS/

My question is
1. Does all the .rpm files on the web page with x86_64 suffix and noarch suffix are the one i require.
2. These are so many files, so how do i upgrade centos kernel?
3. Should i upgrade as root or the user.
