Setting a DNS name

I have system-config-network on my machine, I've messed around with the settings, but still can't get this to work.
I tried to install bind9, but was met with defeat there as well, hopefully I can stop jumping around and someone can give me the right answer.

I need my ip 96.44.148.157 bound to the host name zanda

How would I go about doing this?

(When trying to pull zanda.com I get "The server at zanda.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed.")
(I'm using OpenDNS as dns servers for my machine)
