Thank you for pointing that out. I see that kabi-tracking are built so that they don't need to be recopiled when the kernel changes, and this is surely good. But they are based on the original NVIDIA drivers, so that if I install the same version (295.20) I will probably get the same problem. I could try an older version.
Possible, but worth trying the latest package. The older versions are also available. To see what's there:
yum --showduplicates --disablerepo \* --enablerepo elrepo\* list \*nvidia\*
Will the package take care automatically of all the steps I had to perform manually, like blacklisting nouveau, rebuilding the initrmafs?
The necessary tasks will be performed.
Also: I see on the repo some packages whose name starts with kmod-nvidia and others with nvidia-x11, what is the difference?
