I already don't have NetworkManager installed, so okay from that part. Next I'll try without BOOTPROTO=dhcp in the bond configuration file and see what happens. I should have tried that before but as it's working that way on SL 5.6, I left that part untouched. Report here back when I'm done. cheers!!
