I really think I am very close to setting up my ssl certificate on my server. I have been using my certs on my old godaddy server and they were working just fine. Now we are moved over to some servers running at a cohost and I am running into a little trouble. I have two front end servers that I have named "web01" and "web02" and when I access the site using my root domain name "gizmoquip.com", I am able to access my https pages without a problem. However, I can't use the "www.gizmoquip.com" domain without getting the nasty "untrusted source" error.

One thing that I noticed is that the technical details for the error say that my Common Name for my server is "web01" or "web02" depending on where the load balancer sends me. I would guess that this needs to be "gizmoquip.com" correct?

I have tried changing my hostname by editing the /etc/sysconfig/hostname file. I changed the HOSTNAME=web01 to HOSTNAME="gizmoquip.com". I also ran "hostname gizmoquip.com" from the command line and then ran "hostname" as well as "uname -n" to confirm that the hostname shows up correctly. I also tried restarting my network with "service network restart" and I restarted apache with "service httpd restart" but I still get the same untrusted source error for "www.gizmoquip.com".

Any ideas?

Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.

Sorry I am certificate-illiterate; however, as your question has nothing to do with CentOS-6 it is moving to Social, where almost anything goes.
