May be a silly question, but, have you restarted the network service after altering the IP in the aforementioned file?
Try: If your previously assigned IP address has immediately been revoked, and you haven't restarted the network service, this could your culprit. |

I did do that.. and i have restarted a bunch of times.. im wondering if i should wait another 48 hours??? i know last time i got static ips they really messed the whole thing up and gave them to someone else... so i had to get new ones... but instead of waiting a few days... im starting to think that they did the same thing again... ?? not unless there is something im missing... the modem is still in bridge mode... |

Ok... I figured out what happened. I litlerally called my provider 3 times. They all told me everything is provisioned its all good to go....
I still can not get things going so I called a 4th time.. and the guy was a slow talking releax laid back texan guy and was like yea there still in the middle of moving the static ip... soooooo i guess i will get back to you guys within 48 hours.. thanks |
