Hi Guys!

I connected internal hard disk to another centos system to take backup.

Iam using 500Gb sata hard disk and if i use fdisk its showing below partiions

device boot start end blocks id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 14 60801 488279610 8e Linux LVM

but when im mounting sda1 into /mnt it working good but while mounting /dev/sda2 into /mnt im getting below error.

#mount -t ext3 /dev/sda2 /mnt
mount: Wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda2.
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg| tail or so

Kindly take me out from the above issue.

Thanks

Rgds

Erm, /dev/sda2 is FS type 8e LVM and you're trying to mount as ext3
