Hi guys..
Maybe this won't be a very social topic, but I have a non-related problem and don't know where to put it, so here I go.. We are currently looking for a rack-mounted server with front I/O slots (PCI specifically, minimum 6). We have some external PCI cards (10G, 1G fiber etc.) for frame-based network traffic testing (Wireshark mainly) which we would like to access from the FRONT. I've managed to find something like this http://www.ajaxsys.com/front-access-i-o-rack-mount-computer.html in the US.. but it would be much easier to buy one within the EU (my company is located in Poland). Any suggestions/ideas would be very appreciated. |

Maybe try posting on http://www.webhostingtalk.com/
A lot of data center types hang out there. In your example, both the expansion slot cards AND the normal I/O are in the front. Seems like that would cause problems in most racks unless they were made for systems like that (i.e. none of our racks would be able to plug in the KVM because the cables are routed from the back). |
