I am running on vmware player on Centos 5.8(final) 32 bit. Everytime I attempt to start an existing virtual machine, an error dialog pops saying:
"Could not open /dev/vmmon: No such file or directory ..." I've already installed devfsd (2.4.3-12.i386.rpm) but still there is no /dev/vmmon folder. I also followed the steps on the following link thinking that it will resolve the problem but it did not: http://hilaltarakci.blogspot.com/2011/07/vmware-player-error-could-not-open.html I searched the forum but i haven't seen any significant or relevant topic. Hope someone has an idea on how to solve this. Thank you! |
