Hello,
So I've finished building my server and will proceed to install the OS, in which I've chosen CentOS 5.7. I would like to load the OS onto a thumb drive and was wondering what the appropriate files would be to load onto it. http://www.muug.mb.ca/pub/centos/5.7/isos/x86_64/ Would I just load the: CentOS-5.7-x86_64-bin-1of8.iso CentOS-5.7-x86_64-bin-2of8.iso CentOS-5.7-x86_64-bin-3of8.iso etc... CentOS-5.7-x86_64-bin-9of8.iso Onto the thumb drive? |

The DVD media is a lot easier to deal with. Not all mirrors carry DVD ISOs. If you don't want to use a torrent, navigate to your part of the planet and look for the column labeled "Direct DVD Downloads (4&5)".
See How to Set Up a USB Key to Install CentOS for guidance. |
