hi guys,

from using google the problem i have been having the suggestions i have found are to turn off selinux. however i have had selinux disabled since before i came across this problem so i would appreciate any help on this matter.

what i am trying to do is to monitor running virtual machines from a python script, and to pause them when particular events happen. i am able to monitor them from the script, and i use the following command from the scripts to try to pause them:

os.system("xm pause ubu8one")

the command within the brackets works fine from the linux command line. the command from the python script returns the error:

No handlers could be found for logger "xend"

i have been unable to find a solution to this problem despite looking for several days. from what i can tell it is a centos problem, and i am not sure how to work around the problem.

Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.

Disabling SELinux, except for putting it in Permissive mode for testing, should IMHO never be recommended.

A forum search turns up some old threads, but I don't see much useful. A google on the error finds some of the same stuff, but some reports of success such as this.

If more help is needed then please provide more information about your system by running "./getinfo.sh" and showing us the output file. It might also help if you said what you have already tried so we don't cover the same territory again.
