The Upstream 5.1 Release Notes say "Driver Update Disks now support Red Hat's Driver Update Program RPM-based packaging. If a driver disk uses the newer format, it is possible to include RPM packaged drivers that will be preserved across system updates." However, the Anaconda source for CentOS 5.6 (anaconda-11.1.2.224) and for CentOS 5.7 (anaconda-11.1.2.242) do not contain the code or documentation to support Driver Disk v3 format.

Are Upstream using a different source for their Anaconda than they publish, was the feature withdrawn, or did it just not make it into CentOS for some reason?
