Phil and I believe this is a hardware problem that is going to require testing and analysis by your provider. You need to ask your hosting company for help then. Nothing else I can do for you if you cannot interact with the VPS.

I have no idea what Team Viewer is. Can you reboot the VPS or have the hosting company do it?
If you are having a hardware failure issue it is likely to be affecting other VPS customers on that server.

Is this a vps, where you do not have physical access to the machine? Have you asked for help from the hosting company?

What happens when you try to use putty / ssh?
Can you log in at the console? (locally)
If you can, do that and look at dmesg output and the logs for more details.
