HTTP re-write problem

Dear CentOS experts,

I have question about URL rewriting.

I use squid as my proxy server, and I would like to re-write requested URL without touching host field in the HTTP header, is it possible to do so?

the problem is it is really depends on implementation, different OSes behaves differently, so I think the problem is related to the system kernel, how it implement TCP IP protocol stack, that why I was asking...

Hello,

thanks for your replies, so you mean that it is not possible to have concurrent tcp connection like this:

1.1.1.1:4534 ---> 1.1.1.5:80
1.1.1.1:4534 ---> 1.1.1.2:80
1.1.1.1:4534 ---> 1.1.1.3:80

right?
