Re: CentOS 8 in VirtualBox
I encountered this problem as well but my workaround was to choose VMSVGA rather than VBoxSVGA as my Graphics Controller. Not exactly intuitive I know but I only found it having previously spun up a Centos 8 VM on Windows 10 where VBoxSVGA worked OK so was surprised when the same configuration didn'...

Re: Blackscreen after update to Centos 7.7 / Kernel 3.10.0-1062.1.1.el / NVIDIA
According the NVIDIA's website, 390.87 is still the latest version for the NVS 310.
I've no other system left running 390 series drivers so wasn't even aware an update was available! Have now found the 390.129 driver so I'll give it a go.
Thanks for the info.

My old backup server has a similar problem but for various reasons I'm still running the native NVIDIA 390.87 driver for my NVS 310 with dkms support *-display description: VGA compatible controller product: GF119 [NVS 310] vendor: NVIDIA Corporation physical id: 0 bus info: pci@0000:01:00.0 version...

Re: 7.4 Kernel 3.10.0-693.2.2 hangs on shutdown or reboot
Having searched bugzilla more widely, it would appear the problem is already logged under lvm2 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1491234 rather than kernel.
Will await test packages and upstream release.

7.4 Kernel 3.10.0-693.2.2 hangs on shutdown or reboot
I’ve got a couple of systems running Centos 7 that I use as a home servers; one live (always on) and one as backup that gets powered-up and replicated daily. Both run a pair of disks using whole disk RAID 1 (mirrored) that hosts /boot, / and a home partition. /boot is ext4 while the / and home are x...
