Peace, had to install it from an centos 7 repo..

1)the one whose configuration is stated.
2) no it is up since it can be pinged remotely.
3) it means, no incoming connections from the same subnet are reached, (for example mysql)

Peace, if i restart the virtual machine, i can ping it from a remote network just fine, but it doesn't immediately work from an ip on the same subnet..so i ping the server from the same subnet and after about 7 secs it starts working..if i don't ping it from the same subnet, the same subnet connecti...

Well it's for work so after installing ubuntu i will not go back to centos.

well the gigabit site stated that's it is a marvell but there is something written about nvidia. earlier search engine searches confirm that it uses a forcedeth driver but your solution is a hassle i already went ahead and installed ububntu

lspci is not available, needs downloading

i installed centos 7 but Marvell 88E1116 Gigabit Ethernet controller network card was not detected and the command nmcli d
shows only the loopback interface. is there something to do or do i need to revert back to cetos 6.5 where everything was working?
