53 - I started my UNIX history with Coherent UNIX. I think it was about $50 for the book with license. Then when Linux arrived as an early beta I switched to that. It was a lot more efficient with minimal resources back then. That must have been the early 90's? I started as a Mac sysadmin in 98 and as a Linux cluster manager about 3 years ago. Our clusters run CentOS.

I'm 81. Does that make me the oldest CentOS user? I played around with CentOS a few years ago but settled on Puppy and Mint. Version 7 is interesting, seems stable and powerful enough for my needs.

40++. I don't even know if I own any lime green socks, but I might get some. :)

I've been using CentOS for 10 years or so I'm guessing. Nice product.

So ... technically I use CentOS since ... 10y now
Time flies.... lol
I also do love CentOS7 ... so many exciting and cool changes!

39 years old, old time Debian user (since Potato), now changing ship to RHEL/CentOS (I hate change).

I was surprised to see that with my vote, the over 40 crowd makes up almost 50%.

I've only been using CentOS for less than a year. I use RHEL at work and I decided that I should look at getting certified. But I've been using some flavor of Linux for 10 or 15 years. But mostly as a user, not as any sort of administrator.

Not that surprising, it looks like about 20 voters for each decade. The ranges are not linear, particularly for professional users: 10 years, 10 years and 20/25 years.
