Hi,

I'm 48, and have been using Linux since 1994. At the time, I was running Slackware on a 80486 (it came in a bunch of 3½" floppies)
I experimented with different flavors of AIX, Ubuntu, RHEL and Fedora until this year, when I came into contact with CentOS.
I'm very satisfied with CentOS stability and performance, good work guys !

I had always been interested in Linux but didn't start using it until a few months ago. I played around with several distros (Mint, Ubuntu, Debian and MX), but I knew once I installed CentOS, I was hooked.

This is one distro that I really feel comfortable with (e.g. ease of use, security, stability etc.), and I'm also 50. It's good to see by the stats that there are quite a few younger users taking up CentOS as well.

I'm 37 and have dabbled in Linux over the years. Wasn't until a couple months ago that I decided to really buckle down and learn. I chose CentOS because I wanted stability since I run my server as a media/samba/OpenVPN server. So far it has been quite an experience. I wish I would've started earlier but better late than never! Anyway, really stoked on this OS as it has been rock solid.

I have been using Linux for about 15 years on and off. Moved to CentOS when TAOLinux folded and pointed yum to CentOS. I currently use it for some special applications like a TACACS server and a TFTP server where windows apps are weak or very expensive. I work in a windows shop (not my call) so not many opportunities to get Linux in the door.

In a better shape than when I was 30.

I had a blue box saying "RH6.5" a long time ago.
Now using CentOS6.x and 7.3

I dabbled with CentOS around version 4 and a
have been using 6 and 7 for data acquisition and Hadoop clusters for like 4 years.

Best move ever.

I'm 52. Using Linux for the past ten years, CentOS as my current desktop for the last one year, it's rock solid and for our daily routine desktop use it best suits. If one has the best inclination and time to spare can find Linux distro of their choice. :D
