Just installed CentOS 4 on an old HP

I was amazed that it worked, and the system is rather stable.

This is a 90mz processor, 48mb RAM old machine that has been sitting around on the shelf for years.

Granted, it's a little slow, but it works. I just installed bind on it, I'm going to see how it fairs as a DNS server.

Oh, and it has a 1.7G drive. CentOS 4 min install + mysql, bind, emacs and their respective dependencies installed via yum take up 43% of the drive.

the first time I attempted the install, it stoped responding on boot. 2nd time, it frooze int he package selection.

it took two boots for it to work properly... its been running fine all day since.
