Upgrade centos 6.7 to 7.x

Hi, I google many sites and I don't understand how exactly I can upgrade my Centos, earlier I didn't work with Centos.
Can you help me?

There is no upgrade from 6 to 7. You back up everything, reinstall and restore.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
