OS: Centos release 6.5 (final)
I am running a backup product Prestor P5.6.2 to backup a NAS device. I have very poor backup speeds to LTO7 tape.
Tape library is connected via fibre channel to a fabric switch, 1 port of hba on backup server attached to this fabric switch. The backup server has 2 nics
Within centosOS /etc/fstab file is mnts setup to 3 nas shares.
NAS is connected to 10GB fibre core switch (not connected to fibre channel fabric switch)
Is their any tools to check NFS read write times?
Any one have any advise, my background is not in linux but wintel, I know their is an issue but what do I check within centos?
Backup Speeds Disk r/w times
Re: Backup Speeds Disk r/w times
Is accessing iscsi volume possible in centos?
Re: Backup Speeds Disk r/w times
CentOS 6.5 has several years of unfixed security problems, run yum update to get 6.10.
For the r/w times, look at the time command.
