So was there a kernel update posted within the past 24 hours or so?
I'm seeing a kernel update coming through the yum repositories, but I'm not seeing any mention of it on the CentOS announcement mailing list. The mailing list has always been a little wonky anyway.
Would be nice if there was an always-up-to-date RSS feed or website some where that posted this information.
Kernel Update?
Re: Kernel Update?
The announcement mails are not usually posted until about 30 minutes after the packages are pushed to the mirror network. That's so that we don't get lots of people asking where the packages are because they've had the announcements. I have asked about them to make sure they're on their way. If in doubt you can also check the upstream RHEL errata pages to see if the updates are listed there too. https://access.redhat.com/errata/
Announcements are coming through now for the 4 updates from yesterday.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: Kernel Update?
Oh! Sorry then.
I guess I thought they were posted to the repositories overnight - my daily update checker picked them up.
I guess I was just lucky that my daily update checker ran just after they were posted to the repositories.
