I installed CentOS 6 on Sata 1, now I want to put my windows XP Pro hard drive back into the system on Sata 2 (was on Sata 1) and have a grub menu presented to choose either operating
system.
I have googled all over but no documentation works or matches the commands I have available to me under Centos 6. It appears with other systems I would have availalbe utilities to me that would generate the grub.conf file.
How do I join the CentOS project and get these wonderful grub commands onto future CentOS releases that other Linux distros have available to them?
Is there a way to get these other commands now through a repo? If so, I could not find them (grub-mkconfig, grub-probe)

Also what .9x version is considered Grub 2?
thanks

Re: CentOS Grub documentation is confusing
Did you view my reply to your other post?
I think that might answer your question.
I have an old page on grub, that should actually work with what you have now. BUT--it is not for grub2--see my comments on grub2 in the other post.

Please check the links in my sig, as well. Double posting is usually a bad idea.
