running Centos 6.0 x64
I'm trying to disable the touchpad as I catch it and inadvertently move the mouse on a regular basis; I found a solution on this forum in:
http://centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=32925&forum=57
BUT
when I use "synclient TouchPadOff=1" as advised in the above post it disables the touchpad for about 1 minute, after which it becomes active again.
I'm assuming that synclient is periodocally re-reading a settings file, but I can't find the file; can anyone point me in the right direction?

Problem with Synaptics touchpad on Lenove T500
A brief flip through the manpages suggests checking in the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file
Warning though, that little file controls ALOT of stuff. Make a backup and have a live cd ready to do a rescue if nessesary.
