I am aware it is not listed in the compatibility matrix for RHEL, just wonder if anyone here was able to install Centos 6 on this server.
Having a bit of trouble finding the old R230 which certainly works.
I am aware of upgrading to 7, though the solution we are integrating was designed for 6 and we have not yet found a way to upgrade to 7.

Re: Dell R240 Centos 6.10 Support
First thing to be aware of is that there is no "upgrade" from 6 to 7 so you will need to start from scratch wth CentOS 7 and since 6 now has just over 5 months of life left, that's something you're going to have to do sooner rather than much later.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Install CentOS 7 or 8 and run your application in a CentOS 6 VM or a docker container.DLRX wrote: ↑2020/06/11 15:16:34I am aware it is not listed in the compatibility matrix for RHEL, just wonder if anyone here was able to install Centos 6 on this server.
