creating NTFS partition with fdisk

Hi,

Need to create NTFS part-ion with f disk. Done lot of ways but no luck.
can you guide mee.

fdisk doesn't create filesystems, it creates partitions. You can tag the partition as type 0x07 (NTFS/HPFS) but that's all that fdisk can manage. It will not create the filesystem itself. For that you need to use a utility designed to do so - in linux mkntfs - which is part of the ntfsprogs package.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
