Inspiron 9300 Fn-F2 key

Greetings

Anyone have any luck getting the function+f2 key to work with CentOS 5 and a Dell Inspiron 9300? Works fine in other Linux distros and with Win XP but will not turn on. I noticed that the other function keys also do not work, e.g. fn-f8 for CRT/LCD

Any ideas?
