CentOS Crash reboot pattern

Post by zdn3023 » 2015/01/26 17:48:38

Hello,
Our CentOS 5.10 system rebooted itself a few times. I had a look at the file generated from command "last", found a crash -reboot pattern. If there is "crash", there will be a "reboot" in several hours. The following showed that there was a crash at 18:36 Jan 24:

tom :0 Sun Jan 25 17:44 - 10:48 (17:04)
tom :0 Sun Jan 25 17:44 - 17:44 (00:00)
tom system boot 2.6.18-398.el5 Sun Jan 25 11:57 (22:51)
reboot system boot 2.6.18-398.el5 Sun Jan 25 08:28 (1+02:21)
tom pts/1 :0.0 Sat Jan 24 18:36 - crash (13:51)
tom :0 Sat Jan 24 18:36 - crash (13:52)
tom :0 Sat Jan 24 18:36 - 18:36 (00:00)
tom pts/2 :0.0 Wed Jan 21 14:28 - 14:41 (00:12)

I then went to system log to check the events happened at 18:36 Jan 24. I saw the following :

My question is what caused the "crash". The user did not see anything abnormal at that time from computer screen, and this has happened to multiple users. Thank you,

DZ
