Dell M6600 Wireless hardware switch not working

Post by reyesc » 2013/06/27 22:08:46

Been searching around for a while, hopefully someone has a bit of insight on this one.

I have a Dell Precision M6600 which has an install of CentOS 5 on it.

The laptop has a hardware switch which is in charge of enabling the wireless, bluetooth, etc. However for some reason it doesn't seem to do anything. In fact, lspci doesn't even see my wirless or bluetooth devices. I'm guessing because of the switch.

A quick toggling of the switch shoes:

The lights for both wireless and bluetooth are off.

Probably worth noting that bluetooth does seem to load on startup

Everything is enabled in the bios.

I'd love to get wireless working on this and would appreciate any information.
