Realtek Driver Installed in CentOS 5.8 No Audio

Post by HP301 » 2015/01/14 19:16:35

I have a customer that has purchased our workstation and use CentOS 5.8. They installed the latest Linux driver (5.18rc8 and 5.16rc25) for our onboard Realtek Audio device to compile in Kernel 2.6.18. The driver installs, but audio doesn't work.

Can someone provied a suggestion on this? The HW IDs for the Realtek chip is below:

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0221&SUBSYS_103C1905&REV_1000
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0221&SUBSYS_103C1905

Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

Start by updating it to 5.11 ;)

Try to indentify the hardware:

Code: Select all

lspci
Than search in elrepo:link
