Mailman+Exim

hi @ll,

anyone here familiar with configuring exim+mailman?
I have a running copy on a FC2 machine, testing the config shows the correct router/transport on this FC2

FC2- exim 4.43, mailman-2.1.5-1 :
#exim -bt list
list@mail.domain.com
|/usr/lib/mailman/mail/mailman post list
transport = address_pipe


Is it an error? I'm not sure....manuals mention that the testing should look like the example above with FC2!?!

The config is as recommended in howto's for exim and mailman. So what is the problem?....aliases?!
I tried different things:
/etc/aliases vs. /mailman/aliases
paths in MM_HOME=/usr/lib/mailman vs. /var/lib/mailman (because the paths are now splitted in new RH releases...
What infos do you need to help?

This may not be relevent, but keep in mind...

I'm having trouble with sendmail and smrsh when trying to do a 'pipe' delivery in an alias.

I would normally have mailman running, but have not done this yet because of this problem.

Maybe I'll try setting up my mailman lists to see what happens.

NB. I was FC1 before, and no problems. I used to install mailman from the original rpm
(not FC1) - because I ran several seperate (virtual) domains, each with their own mailman
lists, and I don't think the FC1 mailman could do that. It assumed a single domain...

I solved the problem....it was the alias-file.

OK, glad you got it fixed.

My mailman with sendmail is working, but without smrsh so far.

Thats my next test.
