CentOS FTP server configuration

Hello.
I am new on Linux. I need to configure a FTP server on CentOS_5.3. I have only the SSH connection.
Can anybody give me a example how to install and configure FTP server on CentOS.

Here the FTP configuration will be as follows:

Say, User:root, Pass:root123 > is the root access

and User:guest, Pass:guest123 > can access only /usr/local/guest

You should immediately update to the current release 5.5. 5.3 is seriously obsolete and has numerous known bugs and security issues that have been fixed in subsequent updates. Obsolete releases are not supported, nor is it advisable to be running them. The first link has been retired.
The new one is viewforum.php?f=12

The second one still works.
