Where is the setcap program?
In Ubuntu they have the libcap2 package which has this program. Which package has it in CentOS?
CentOS does have libcap package has the setpcaps (for processes already running) and execcap but those won't work.
Thanks.

setcap missing
CentOS-6 has it, but it does not exist in 5:
# rpm -q libcap
libcap-2.16-5.2.el6.x86_64
# rpm -ql libcap
/lib64/libcap.so.2
/lib64/libcap.so.2.16
/lib64/security/pam_cap.so
/usr/sbin/capsh
/usr/sbin/getcap
/usr/sbin/getpcaps
/usr/sbin/setcap
/usr/share/doc/libcap-2.16
/usr/share/doc/libcap-2.16/License
/usr/share/doc/libcap-2.16/capability.notes
/usr/share/man/man8/getcap.8.gz
/usr/share/man/man8/setcap.8.gz
You could try rebuilding the el6 SRPM in CentOS-5 but that may well have missing dependencies or break other things.
