Testing Oracle RAC on CentOS

Post by Data-Base » 2010/03/17 12:44:49

Hello,

Folleing the excelent "how-to" http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/hunter_rac10gr2_iscsi.html

My test system is CentOS 5.4 and Openfiler 2.3 going to install Oracle 10g all running in VMware ESX 4

everything seems to work OK with the installation process :)

but, I cam in page 2 to:

If you modified the O2CB heartbeat threshold, you should verify that it is set correctly::

# cat /proc/fs/ocfs2_nodemanager/hb_dead_threshold
61

but I see there is nothing under /fs/ other than /nfsd/ there is no /ocfs2_nodemanager/ !!!!

what do I miss here?

I do not want to cuntinue farther with the setup before I solve this issue (understand it)

cheers

Note: I asked this question in Oracle's Forums too

Sorry for my question but did you reboot and verify OCFS2 mount ?
and BTW the manual was written and tested with Oracle Linux
This guide is designed to work with Oracle Enterprise Linux Release 5
you may find this manual that was tested with CentOS 4
