No Javascript with Windows 7 64-bit

Post by YBellefeuille » 2013/01/20 02:39:38

Javascript doesn't work at all on the main CentOS page, https://www.centos.org/index.php, with Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit and Firefox. I've tried both the normal version of Firefox and Firefox ESR. I have no problems with Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit.

This is a completely new installation of Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, with all Windows updates but no other programs.

I realize I'm not giving many details, because I don't have any, but perhaps someone with Windows 7 64-bit, preferably Enterprise, could see if he has the same problem.

Does the page look like text only? Then, I believe it has to do with security certificate. Quoting this post from Sept 2010:

It seems the wildcard SSL cert for *.centos.org has expired. Since
the www.centos.org stuff references its CSS via the http[S] urls, the
CSS and images are now missing from http://www.centos.org/
If you use https:// , you'll get a page saying "This Connection is Untrusted" . In there, you have an option to "Add Exception...".

I'll try to find what's going on, and I'll post later if I confirm there's a problem.
