Hi team,
I am running CentOS 7.5. Is there any way to remove VPN from System Setting menu on CentOS 7.5?
I already configured with my own VPN. I don't want system by default one and want to delete it from System Setting. I use mouse to click top right battery button (power) and it shows a VPN menu. I want to delete this VPN menu. Is there a way to proceed ?
Regards,
Harry

I don't know the answer, but I think you would be more likely to get answers
if you tell which windows manager or desktop environment you're using.
You may also want to run yum update to get 7.6.

Re: How to remove VPN from System menu
Thank you Tunk for the reply. I am running CentOS 7.5 and GDM version is: GDM 3.26.2.1
This is Gnome desktop installed by default.

You need to yum update to 7.6. 7.5 is now approaching a year out of date.
What VPN icon are we talking about here? I don't run gnome3 so it won't be the same thing but some description might help others to help you.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: How to remove VPN from System menu
Hi TrevorH & tunk,
I upgraded to 7.6 and VPN indicator was gone. I click the power button from top right and hav not seen it any more. I found:
7.6 GDM version is : 3.28
7.5 GDM version is : 3.26
I am not sure what is difference between these 2 versions. If so I could directly to modify or configure 3.26 to make it work as in 3.28
any idea?
Regards,
Harry
