Did you mean that you obtained the kmod package from the Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (EPEL) repository? (I searched Google for a "elpo repository" and came up empty.)

If so, which EPEL package did you install? I'm not finding one for the NVIDIA forcedeth kernel module:

He meant ELRepo. They have various drivers in their repository.
