fsck.ext2: No such file or directory while trying to open /d

Post by gizurieta » 2014/08/06 20:35:27

Hi CentOS 7 Support,

I was experiencing some CPU issues, decided to replace my laptop (with Centos 7.0).
All was working fine, until after was moved my hard disk and my keyboard to the new laptop.

I used the option grub2 to rescue my system, and after that the Centos notified my that it will be relabeling all my devices.
All was completed, but after was finalized this process, I rebooted my system and only I'm able to boot from my hard disk using the grub2 option "rescue". I think that I'm skipping or omitting something. I appreciate any help or recommendation you have for me regarding this.

I collected sosreport: https://www.firedrive.com/file/2256233D54147ADB

Hi CentOS 7 Support Team,

Please close this post. Recently, my system was updated with the following (good coincidence) automatically by the Update, and now my boot entries by default are using
my relabeled devices generated by the rescue option:

Most likely you needed to rebuild the initramfs for the kernel that you had installed before. When the newer kernel was installed it built an initramfs based on the new hardware...
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
