Slow Installer Boot due to NICs (PXEboot)

Post by nerdofprey » 2014/11/06 20:57:36

I'm pxe-booting the Centos 7 installer to an HP blade and during boot it's taking an especially long time waiting for all of the network interfaces to become active. On this particular server, there are 8 interfaces. only one of which (maybe two tops) needs to be available to perform the install. If I wait long enough, it will eventually make it through all 8, but since we want to automate this deployment process I was wondering if there was a way to prevent it from waiting on all 8 interfaces?

Its not a show stopper but its making the installer take an excessive amount of time to boot.

Thanks.

**Edit: Added screen shot of the part of the boot process im looking at, specifically.

I too would like to know what to do about this, it sits there for a very long time waiting for interfaces to time out, I'd rather just disable them.
