centOS-7 installation and use
Re: centOS-7 installation and use
CentOS-7-i386-Minimal-1810.iso is NOT the 64 bit version.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: centOS-7 installation and use
Hi Trevor!
Finally somebody helped me to install centOS-7 minimal on my win7 pc using a 64 gigabyte pendrive. So this is no more a problem for me.
I can boot and use centOS-7 now, but I have two questions to you or anybody else on the Forum.
No.1.: While my PC can use the wifi adapter smoothly and with no problem, CentOS-7 reports that my wifi adapter is not working. Why is that and how can I solve this problem.
No.2.: I would like to use my files on the PC's hard drive, but CentOS says that it cannot see my NTFS formatted drive partitions. How to attach them to CentOS?
Best regards László

No 2: You need to load ntfs-3g and ntfsprogs which are in epel.
Re: centOS-7 installation and use
I have a further question concerning CentOS-7. I have successfully installed it on my pendrive and can run it alright. However CentOS-7 does not see my wifi connections (althought windows 7 has no problem), how to solve this problem?

Open a new thread and post details of your hardware using lspci -nn | grep -i net and/or lsusb.py

Re: centOS-7 installation and use
Thanks Trevor, I will do it and write a new answer. Do I have to create a new thread? Is this because this one is already too large?
Re: centOS-7 installation and use
It aids those who come after you if we stick to one problem per thread and have a descriptive subject on each one. People using Google to search for one thing will likely dismiss a thread with a totally off-topic subject without looking.
