cannot login any more?!?

Weird issue and I'm going nuts a bit.
Second time it happens.
I installed centos 7.6 minimal install.
Updates all, instal lnvidia drivers and gnome desktop..
all good
goies into desktop, login, do installations and stuff.
Everything fine.

But after being away from comp going back trying to login.. it says "Sorry that didn't work. Please try again."
Password is 100% correct.
This is 2nd-time same computer. I installed 6 more machines identical way and only this one is giving me this problem,
am I going nuts?

Can you login in as root from terminal or via SSH ?. If yes, check the /var/log/secure logs to know why logins are failing

You and me both (and I'm probably beeting you at that - going nuts).

If you can't login you're pretty screwed. Suggest you boot to emergency or something similar and have a look at logs on disk. Apart from the obvious (system) logs, also look at X errors (that may be in the user's $HOME).

Not really a big deal it is just an render node comp so no loss. But it happens 2nd time now and no idea why.
