Qs: Partition for installing centOS on Mac

<t>Hello, i am new to linux, and i currently try to install centOS 7 (a 2017 distribution)on my 2012 macbook pro. (not using a VM, just dual boot)<br/>
I have my usb as a bootable drive, and it works fine. But since i partitioned with MS-DOS(FAT) format, the installer cannot find it. What it found the single internal hard drive in my mac.(there is only only one built-in hard drive in my machine). Should i use a different partition format? If so, which one?</t>
