Hello everyone,,
Standalone ESXi 6.7U1 host -
Now that Plex has discontinued support for RHEL 6-based OS, i decided to move away from my old Plex server and build a new one using CentOS 7.
(not related but I still can't get a grip on systemd.... anyways)
I have open-vm tools installed, Plex runs fine, and yum is up to date. Refer to screenshot..
But ESXi keeps complaining that this OS is CentOS 6, and wants me to reconfigure it.
Is there something I need to change in guest OS to make this go away?
I have a warning saying my CentOS 7 is CentOS 6.. why?

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
