CentOS 7 NetInstall Missing Base.repo base repo during setup installation source repository

Post by canoodle » 2019/08/15 09:19:53

First of: Thanks for your lovely work!

Loving CentOS!

Image

Running it on 3x Servers (one dedicated two vps) and 1x workstation (will never update it :D MATE Gnome2 just runs perfectly) the rest of laptops/workstations is Debian 9.

had problems with the netinstall.iso that is provided by https://www.hetzner.de/ per default (very very minimal... does not come with any packages)

but here you have it a https base repository :)

The netinstall media doesn't have any source selected. You are meant to supply your own. It can point to any mirror but you have to supply the address for it to use.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
