Can we install rootfs in 1st partition ?

Hello,

I tried to install the following layout in centOS 7:
/sda1 - rootfs
/sda2 - boot

But whatever I do, it keep trying to put /boot in the 1st partition, even if I tell to do something else...

Does anyone knows if the above partition can be installed with centOS and how we can do it ?

Actually, I think it's possible but it requires alot of effort.

Why do you need such setup? What are you trying to workaround/accomplish ?
