Hello everyone,
I have a problem in CentOS 7.
I have an AD domain windows already set up, and I have a CentOS 7.3 machine on which I configured SSSD to join the domain.
The problem is that it is well configured but it works 3/4.
I have the result:
[root @ lpn3e190 ~] # realm discover mydomain
mydomain
type: kerberos
domain name: MYDOMAIN
domain name: MYDOMAIN
configured: member kerberos
server software: active directory
client software: sssd
package required: oddjob
package-required: oddjob-mkhomedir
package required: sssd
package required: adcli
package required: samba-common-tools
connection formats:% U
login-policy: allow-realm-logins
then, 1 minute after I have the result:
[root @ lpn3e190 ~] # realm discover mydomain
mydomain
type: kerberos
domain name: mydomain
domain name: mydomain
configured: no
It works 3 times on 4.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Join a windows domain with SSSD
You are running a version of CentOS that is very old (and probably buggy)!
Try to update to CentOS 7.7.1908 before trying again.

I can't do that sadly. I must find what a solution for the issue in CentOS 7.3hunter86_bg wrote: ↑2019/09/23 12:53:11You are running a version of CentOS that is very old (and probably buggy)!

Re: Join a windows domain with SSSD
Sorry but only the latest version of CentOS gets any support. You either run that or you solve things yourself (and most likely get hacked as a side benefit of not being up to date).
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: Join a windows domain with SSSD
Sadly I have the feeling that you have some buggy sssd iplementation.
At least you can try to update sssd and the dependencies, or you will have to deal with it.
