can't boot laptop after last upgrade

Post by cwsd » 2019/10/07 11:10:32

Code: Select all

ACPI Warning: \ _SB_.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP._DSM: Argument # 4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20130517 / nsarguments-95)
ACPI: \ _SB_.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP: failed to evaluate _DSM
ACPI Warning: \ _SB_.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP._DSM: Argument # 4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20130517 / nsarguments-95)

booting with acpi=off:

Code: Select all

random: fast init done
random: crng init done
no record in /var/log

Any idea please ?

None of those are errors. What is the actual problem?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

What I have posted are last lines printed on the screen. Booting has halted after that.

My apologies, it was caused by wrong grub configuration file made by another distro.
