VMXNET3 Problems when adding more than 3 NIC's

Hi

I have a numnber of Centos 7.7 servers deployed across our network which need to have more than 4 NIC's installed on them,

I have deployed them using our puppet build service and configured 3 of the NIC's. When I tested the config everything was fine, it could see the gateways etc etc. When I then add a 4th NIC to the server and configure it, when the server is reboot it looses all the configuration which has been applied.

Everything I try such as specifying the NIC MAC address in the ifcfg files doesn't seem to work.

Any suggestions?
