Upgrade from 7.6 to 7.7

Post by deepak1.bisht » 2023/03/24 14:43:06

Hi,

I wish to update the server from Centos 7.6 to 7.7 however I am unable to find the repository for 7.7, i.e. Kernel - 3.10.0-1062 & Centos release - 7.7-1908.
Please advise.

Current release -

[root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS Linux release 7.6.1810 (Core)
[root@localhost ~]# uname -r
3.10.0-1160.el7.x86_64

Regards,
Deepak Bisht

Skip 7.7 and go straight to 7.9. It is the only supported CentOS Linux version. If you go to 7.7 you will still be nearly 4 years out of date and will still have an insecure system.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
